Las Vegas Night
I think the night is a good time to explore the Old Town (Downtown):
Fremont Street, Main Street, not only by helicopter. A city arose here
in 1905, due largely by railway Los Angeles - Salt Lake City. Downtown
Las Vegas was called as Glitter Gulch in the past, and we were able to
understand the origin of the name, when made a small trip to the area.
Fremont Street lights up with neon unlike computerized facades Strip,
and you can almost feel the warmth of this radiation. There is a museum “Neon
Sign”. Many well-known signs have appeared in this place. We were
very surprised when we saw the awning Viva Vision: The Biggest Big Screen
on the Planet (its height is about 88.6 ft), stretching for four blocks
along Freemont Street. This tent is the largest screen on the planet.
Las Vegas is, of course, casinos and hotels first of all. But you will
be surprised when I say it is also a museum, exhibition halls and art
galleries. In the hotel Belajio in separate halls collected immortal
paintings by El Greco and Goya, Degas and Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso...
The hotel “Mandalay Bay” is a grand museum of fine wines.
The exhibition at the “Tropicana” assembled the largest collection
of things, items and equipment associated with the casino. A museum of “Elvis-a-Rama” in
Las Vegas is dedicated to Elvis Presley. Although we were full impressions
after yesterday’s helicopter tour, but the amazing discoveries
are not over yet! Our trip continued with an exhibition devoted to the
Guinness record.
Exhibition Guinness Book of World Records is located near the hotel “Circus-Circus” and
is devoted to the achievements of the Guinness Book of Records. Be sure
to visit this exhibition, it is very interesting! The exhibition at the “Imperial
Palace” is a collection of automotive rarities. Wax museum Madame
Tussauds is located next the hotel “Venetian”. It contains
about 100 wax figures of celebrities and figures of history... And it’s
not all! A unique city is a unique architecture!
Casinos are located in almost every hotel and open to the public 24 hours
a day. Hotels in Las Vegas are unique! Many of them look like whole towns
with streets, copies of famous world monuments. There are not only the
pyramids, but own Paris, and own Venice. The “Paris” also
has the Eiffel Tower, less half than the original. There is a mini Arc
de Triomphe. The gondola in full size slides through channels arranged
on the floor in the “Venice”.
Las Vegas has made a huge impression on us. Not only Las Vegas night
helicopter tour, but a walk around the city was left an indelible imprint
in our souls. I can not express in words the feeling which came after
my sightseeing this city. Helicopter tour will remain forever in my memory.
Maybe we’ll come to Las Vegas again and, but this first visit (especially
at such important day as a wedding) will be the most precious memories
of my life.
